Dear Readers and Writers,
How much of “who we are” is the result of our own learning, growing, and loving? What portion is the result of forces beyond ourselves?
The poems of Equatorial Six come to these questions and ask for embrace. They seek to hold and be held—cradle identity, compassion, and mis/understanding in apostrophic grace. To answer grand questions of self and love, they fail beautifully; yet, by tree and by fire, they achieve all we could ask of any poem: to reach for some knowing and open the heart.
It is an honor to publish work by poets whom I admire so. Forever grateful to our contributors, all who submitted, and you.
Please enjoy Equatorial Six.
